We are seeking a Project Manager to support, maintain and facilitate the profitability and schedules of projects under construction and jobs to bid for the Fabrication Department (structural steel, miscellaneous metals and pipe). A major component of the position will be procurement, expediting, generation of RFI’s and the submittal process.

Essential Functions

• Ensure structural integrity, cost effectiveness, coordination of drawings and code compliance.
• Engineering support of fabrication, erection activities.
• AutoCAD drafting a plus.
• Value engineering of preliminary project designs.
• Conducts analyses to develop design options or recommendations and assists in the preparation of cost estimates.

Qualifications

• Ability to understand construction principles and to read and interpret contract documents.
• Knowledge of piping systems, miscellaneous metals and structural steel
• BS in Engineering, or equivalent experience, with an emphasis on structural steel, miscellaneous metals and pipe fabrication.
• Understand the AISC code provisions as they relate to the design aspects of structural steel.
• Working knowledge of and understanding of interfaces with other engineering disciplines required.
• Good planning skills.
• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
• Drive to learn and grow professionally.
• Ability to multi-task on several projects.
• Skill in the use of Windows based personal computers in application of Microsoft Office Professional.
• Personal commitment to team environment, safety, customer satisfaction and quality control.
