Pittsfield, MA - WWTP Nutrient Removal System

Methuen Construction won the contract to build a tertiary phosphorus, aluminum, and nitrogen removal system that replaces the secondary clarifier mechanism at the Wastewater Treatment Plant in Pittsfield, MA.  The project also involves installing monitoring instrumentation, modifying existing structure/piping to optimize nutrient removal, and replacing sludge thickening/dewatering systems. Upon completion of this complex project, Pittsfield's treatment plant will be in compliance with new stringent EPA regulations.
