Salem, MA - MBTA Rail Station Parking Garage
The project consisted of the ground-up construction of a new 5 story parking garage at the MBTA station in Salem, MA. Summit Metal Fabricators provided both the structural steel and the miscellaneous metals on the project. The company also provided the installation of all fabrications including the stair towers, dual elevator shafts, pedestrian bridge with dual cantilever roofs, and other special roof features on the main structure. The elevator shaft was pre-fabricated at the SMF shop and installed on site. The pedestrian bridge was also pre-fabricated, and installed using a crane.
