Description

Methuen Construction prepared the site and installed two new 1.5MW Fuhrlander 1500 wind turbines for the Princeton, MA Municipal Light Department. Each turbine is mounted on a 70-meter tower and the combined output delivers approximately 40% of the town’s energy needs. Ratepayers have also realized additional cost savings when PMLD sells energy credits back to the power grid.

The site work on this project was significant as an upgrade to the existing road through a densely wooded area was required in order to transport the turbines to their final hilltop destination.

In addition, significant blasting was required to prepare the site for the forming and pouring of the concrete foundations for the turbines.
