The Alliance between CSR-EM and OSHA is the largest and oldest in the U.S., and is also one of the most successful. Since signing the original alliance, OSHA and CSR-EMR have worked together to meet construction contractors' needs by providing information, assistance, and training to enable the construction industry's employers, employees and trainees to eliminate and reduce safety and health hazards. The new Alliance expands and strengthens the commitment of OSHA and CSR-EM to the high safety standards adhered to by the local construction community. More information can be found at the CSR-EM web site: www.csr-em.org

11,000 sq. ft. of an asbestos-containing roof with a 30-year insulated membrane roof. A 3,500 sq. ft. vegetated roof was installed to reduce high HVAC demand. All air lines were prefabricated prior to receiving the blowers, allowing a tighly sequenced installation schedule and blower testing with no down time to the facility. Installation of the vegetated roof had to overcome a tight schedule, a narrow growing season and stringent warranty requirements. The building's structual load limitations resulted in a plant and soil system which is 20 percent lighter tha a typical vegetated roof.
